Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is a memory keepsake book?

A keepsake book is a beautifully designed, professionally printed book created from your child’s original artworks, drawings, handwritten notes, certificates and other special creations. I photograph your treasured items and arrange them into a personalised book so you can preserve those precious childhood memories for years to come.

2. What is the difference between the Little, Big and Grand Archive?

Each book offers a different capacity, depending on how many treasures you would like to preserve.

  • Little Archive: Up to 50 images.

  • Big Archive: Up to 100 images.

  • Grand Archive: Up to 200 images.

Whether you have a small collection of special drawings or years of accumulated childhood creations, there’s an archive to suit your needs.

3. What can I include in my keepsake book?

Almost any flat or photographable keepsake that holds special meaning! This might include children’s drawings, paintings, handwritten notes, school certificates, awards, poems, stories, craft projects and other creative treasures. Your book is a celebration of your child’s unique personality, creativity and achievements.

4. Do I need to photograph the artwork myself?

No! That’s all part of the service. You provide the original items, and I photograph them for your book. I then arrange the images into a thoughtfully designed layout, creating a beautiful collection of your child’s treasured memories.

5. How do I get my items to you?

Once your order is placed, we will post to you an envelope for sending back in tracked package for getting your treasured items to us. Please keep your collection together and ensure everything is clearly organised before sending it. We recommend labelling items with post-it notes describing what each item is. We also recommend keeping a list of the items you send so you can check your collection when it is returned.

6. Will my original artwork and keepsakes be returned?

Your original pieces are precious, and I understand how important they are to your family. The original items will be returned with the final printed memory keepsake book - as recieved.

7. Can I include more images than my chosen package allows?

Each archive has a maximum image allowance: 50 for Little Archive, 100 for Big Archive and 200 for Grand Archive. If you have more treasures than your chosen package allows, I recommend selecting the larger archive to give your collection the space it deserves.

8. Will every item be included in the book?

I’ll photograph and design the book around the number of images included in your selected package. Please select the archive size that accommodates your collection. If you have questions about unusually sized items or multiple pieces that you would like photographed together, please contact me before ordering. creation@chelseaandco.com.au

9. Can I request a particular design or layout?

Each book is thoughtfully designed to bring your memories together in a cohesive, beautiful way. The aim is to let your child’s creations take centre stage while making the finished book feel like a special keepsake you’ll love looking through. All books are printed in A4 size landscape. If a specific size or shape is requested, an additional fee will be payable upon order completion.

10. How long will my book take to make?

Each book is individually prepared, from photographing your keepsakes to designing the pages and arranging professional printing. The timeframe will depend on the size of your collection and printing turnaround.

11. Is the book suitable as a gift?

Absolutely! A keepsake book makes a thoughtful gift for parents, grandparents and other family members. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate a child’s creativity, preserve special memories and look back on how much they’ve grown. It can also be a meaningful gift for a milestone birthday or another special occasion.

12. What if my child’s artwork is old, faded or a little messy?

That’s part of the charm! Childhood creations don’t need to be perfect. Wobbly drawings, early handwriting, colourful experiments and well-loved pieces all tell a story. The purpose of your archive is to preserve the memories and the stage of childhood they represent.

13. What happens if my original items are damaged or lost?

I understand that many keepsakes are irreplaceable. Your items will be handled with care throughout the process. Before sending your collection, please review the service’s terms regarding handling, postage, loss and damage. If you have particularly delicate or valuable items, contact me before sending them. We can accept customer taken photographs of these particular artworks.

14. How do I choose the right archive?

Start by gathering the artwork, notes, certificates and other treasures you’d like preserved, then estimate how many images you have. Choose Little Archive for up to 50 images, Big Archive for up to 100, or Grand Archive for up to 200. If you’re unsure, I’d be happy to help you decide which option best suits your collection.
